I have been quilting since 1999 and have decided to keep an online journal of my quilts. In this way, I can document their history and preserve their memory for my family and future generations. Most of my quilts are made as gifts; and with few exceptions, I have taken pictures of my quilts with their recipient. I have also made many charity quilts for Project Linus, Wrapped in Hope and Quilts for Kids.

Please join me for my quilt parade!

My Quilts #267: Heavenly Bodies Charity Quilt 2021

My first charity quilt finish in 2021 which I started back in February.  The pattern is Warm Wishes, one of my favorite patterns for kids' quilts.

I love the main fabric with the planets and heavenly bodies.

I did an overall quilting design called Picket, which I think looks like spacemen or aliens, and I found this perfect backing with the constellations. I used polyester batting and attached the binding by machine which I do for all of my kids' quilts.

The quilt measures 50 x 62 which is larger than the baby quilts I usually donate.  I think this size is much better for an older child.
