My Quilts #257 ~ Charming Christmas Quilt 2020

Finished Size: 56" x 68"

I made this quilt to replace one that I started in 2010.  Regrettably, I sold that top before I completed the quilt.  So I decided to make another one to keep. I've named my quilt "Charming Christmas" because it is made with 5" charm squares.

The pattern is a Charm Pack Quilt Along by Freckled Whimsy which I found online. The original design uses 25 Jacob Ladder blocks but I decided to make my quilt smaller with only 20 blocks.  All the fabric, except the binding, is from my stash collected over the past few years.

I pieced the backing with Christmas fabrics from my stash and leftover 4-patch units from the top.  I did a bias binding so the stripes would be diagonal and sewed it on by machine.  I quilted it with an edge-to-edge pantograph named Picket by Golden Threads.  And, I used lightweight polyester batting.

This quilt is in my personal collection.
