Finished Size: 71" square I finished the top of this quilt in February, hoping to have it completed by St. Patrick's Day.  That didn't happen, but I'm finally finished! I found a quilt online that I really liked (pictured above) and wanted to make something similar. While I like my version, I think the original is better. The original quilter said she had collected St. Patrick's fabrics for a few years and finally had enough to make her quilt. Luckily, she provided the title of the book which I happened to have.  I love this book and have made a couple quilts from it and there are a few more I plan to make. I had some St. Patrick's fabrics in my stash and thought they'd be great for a wall hanging. I ended up having to purchase more fabric than I expected, and even then I didn't have enough. Finished Size: 52" x 60" I finished the top of this quilt in February, hoping to have it completed by Valentine's Day. That didn't happen, but I'm finally finished! I used the free Simple Hearts pattern from Cluck Cluck Sew and the Foresta Fusion fabric collection to create the 6-inch hearts.  My intention was to create a quilt like the one I saw for the Heart Quilt Sew Along (pictured below), but I didn't realize until after I made my hearts that the sew-along used 8-inch hearts.  I love the top with the 6-inch hearts, but I'm going to make another quilt with 8-inch hearts for myself. I'll be gifting this quilt and, yes, I did buy more Foresta Fusion fabric.   I quilted it with Heart Triangles, an E2E design pre-installed in my Moxie. Each heart block is 6" and there are 49 blocks in a 7 x 7 setting. I used a floral backing and Warm & Natural batting. November 2022 UPDATE : Gifted this quilt to my cousin Gloria on January 6, 2023

Finished Size: 21" square Backing and Quilting I made this small wall-hanging from Kim Diehl's Simple Whatnots Club and is part of the 10th-anniversary collection.  This is Month 6 which  I purchased last year as a stand-alone kit, which included backing and binding . I'm not a big fan of miniature quilts but I love Kim Diehl's patterns and fabrics, and I really enjoyed making this one.  It only took a couple of days to piece and another day to quilt and bind. I'm not sure how it happened, but I signed up for the 2022 eleventh annual Simple Whatnots Club. I received my last kit in August, and the kits are now sitting on a shelf waiting for me to start which won't happen until 2023. November 2022

Finished Size: 75" x 98" I made this quilt as a birthday present for my son-in-law. He's been a fan of the Raiders since they were the Oakland Raiders, so I knew he would appreciate this quilt.  He also has congenital heart disease and is on the heart transplant list.  He recently had open heart surgery for a heart pump (LVAD) and had to spend his birthday in the hospital.   I wanted to make something that would comfort him as he recuperates from heart surgery. The pattern is "1st and 10" from McCall's Quilting and is free.  Click  here  for a  pattern  to make this quilt.  It was so fast and easy to make - I completed it in 10 days.   The quilting design is Touchdown, an E2E design from Urban Elementz.  The footballs, helmets, and stars are perfect.   Finished Size: 48" x 61" I finished the top in May and finally finished the quilt in time for Christmas. It is from a block-of-the-month program from Shabby Fabrics that ran from October 2021 to March 2022. I love, love, love this quilt! The blocks are beautiful and were not as challenging to piece as they look. However, they were a little time-consuming, so making just two blocks each month worked out perfectly for me. I found the backing fabric for my quilt during a quilters' run in July. It was on clearance at a 50% discount, which was great. However, I should have done a better job piecing the back. Finished Size: 76" x 90" I made this quilt for the 2022 Stash Buster Challenge by Border Creek Station.  The challenge was to create 52 blocks (1 block a week) by the end of the year to be entered into a drawing.   The block is Jericho Walls and I enjoyed making the blocks so much that I finished  the quilt top  in May. There are 32 blocks, each measuring 10" finished.   I used some really old and "ugly" fabrics from my stash but love how it all came together. The quilting design is Trailing Leaves, an E2E design from the Pro-Stitcher Lite Design Catalog, and the batting is Warm & Natural. I used some charm packs for the piano border and each strip measured 2½" x 5" unfinished.  The inner border and binding are the same red fabric. I used a new full-size sheet that I bought at a thrift store for the backing of my quilt. Finished Size: 81" x 89" I bought the Silver Wolf panels years ago at a quilt show with the intention of making my daughter a quilt. Last year, I decided to finally make this quilt for her birthday.  I finished the top in January and 10 months later I finally finished the quilt. This is the original quilt displayed outside the retailer's booth at the quilt show.  I fell in love with it and knew it'd be perfect for my daughter.  At the time it wasn't in my budget to buy the kit so I just purchased the panels.   I didn't have a pattern so I did my best to create the same design.  I had to search online for the companion fabric, and I was lucky to find some of it but had to make do with a different fabric for the HSTs.
