I have been quilting since 1999 and have decided to keep an online journal of my quilts. In this way, I can document their history and preserve their memory for my family and future generations. Most of my quilts are made as gifts; and with few exceptions, I have taken pictures of my quilts with their recipient. I have also made many charity quilts for Project Linus, Wrapped in Hope and Quilts for Kids.

Please join me for my quilt parade!

My Quilts #106 - #107 ~ Project Linus 2005

I made these quilt tops in 2005 but didn’t actually finish them into quilts until 2007 when I donated them to Project Linus.  But I’ve included them here because they were part of my scrappy quilting frenzy of 2005.

November 2005

This ends the 2005 Quilt Parade with only 19 quilts this year, but MANY scrappy quilts, including 7 pyramid quilts and 5 sawtooth star quilts.  And, let’s not forget the 20 Katrina quilts that I also worked on.  So far, I have created over 100 quilting projects since 1999 … wow!

I didn’t sew these scrappy quilts for any specific reason other than for the pure joy of sewing and being creative.  Well, okay, I did want to make a dent in my scrap stash.  I’d participated in many online swaps and had accumulated tons of scraps that I needed to get rid of use up.

I hope the recipients of my scrappy quilts enjoy and treasure them for a long time.
