I have been quilting since 1999 and have decided to keep an online journal of my quilts. In this way, I can document their history and preserve their memory for my family and future generations. Most of my quilts are made as gifts; and with few exceptions, I have taken pictures of my quilts with their recipient. I have also made many charity quilts for Project Linus, Wrapped in Hope and Quilts for Kids.

Please join me for my quilt parade!

My Quilt Parade C: Other Quilts 2005

IMG_0708_edited[3]

My daughter made this quilt for me in February 2005 and gave it to me when I visited her in Tennessee in August 2005.  I just love it!  Every time I use it, I feel wrapped in warmth and love.

Patches of Life

When I started quilting in 1999, my daughter was living with me.  She stayed with me for three years, and during that time, she also learned to quilt.  Like me, she learned to sew as a little girl, making clothes for her stuffed animals, but she gave up sewing as she grew older.  But the quilting bug bit her, and now she sews beautiful quilts for her family.

Here is her own quilting parade:
